Wendy Euler is the closest thing to an idol for me. A self-proclaimed age activist, she created Goodbye Crop Top—not just a website but a movement that rallies women over 50 to take up space, embrace their age, and live boldly without apology. Beyond her mission, Wendy herself is just cool—possessing that rare trifecta of impeccable style, genuine substance, and strength that draws you in immediately.
Frustrated by our virtual erasure from mainstream media, Wendy didn't just complain—she became the representation she couldn't find. Through thought-provoking writing, refreshingly honest social media, and her insightful podcast, she challenges every tired narrative about aging women. Her perspective resonates so deeply with me because she articulates exactly what I've felt but couldn't quite name—that growing older isn't something to fear but a privilege to celebrate.
I was lucky enough to meet Wendy and hear her speak a few years back at the Liberty Road event in LA. Since then, I've become a dedicated Instagram follower and never miss an episode of her Cropped Podcast (take a listen and definitely give her a follow on IG). So when she agreed to be part of my SEEN campaign, I was beyond honored—it felt like the perfect alignment of values and vision.
Q&A with Wendy Euler
1. What are you most proud of so far in your life, and how does it make you feel?
Proud is not a word I use often. By definition, I don't love the word, but! if I had to choose... I'm proud of my three girls. They are so kind and so smart. They care deeply and are way ahead of where I was at their respective ages of 22, 20, and 10. They are just beautiful human beings.
2. What has been a challenge you’ve faced in your life, and what did you learn from it?
There have been many... and I know for sure that challenge and failure are the only ways we learn. The most important thing I have learned is that I, myself, was always my biggest challenge. For a long time, I stood in my own way. That is not the case anymore. I feel very free from that.
3. What is an important and unexpected change you’ve made in your life?
Again, there have been many! I have always been open to change, both unexpected and planned. I believe (through experience) that change is very good for us. I see how hard it is for a lot of people. It's never been hard for me, and every change I've made has always led to something better—even if it didn't seem so right away.
4. When did you first feel truly “seen” and understood for who you are, rather than how others perceived you?
It's definitely been an evolution. I would say right now, sitting here today, writing this, thinking about what is going on in my life, who I surround myself with, what I'm working on (and who I am working with), I feel seen. The most important thing is to have the courage to see yourself for who you really are, to get to the bottom of what is holding you back, and to look in the mirror and clearly state, "I see you, and I've got you."
5. In what ways do you feel more authentically yourself now than ever before?
In every way. I truly do. Again, it's been an evolution. It's one of the many gifts that come with aging—having the courage to tap into who we really are.
6. Is your life what you thought it would be? Why or why not?
For a long time, I have lived without expectation, so that is a hard one for me to answer. I learned a long time ago that life is unpredictable and a lot of it is out of our control. Understanding that at a pretty young age has done me a world of good.
7. What advice would you give to your younger self?
Fail. Learn. Pivot and keep moving. And that, on occasion, the grass is indeed greener on the other side of the fence. Find a way to climb that fence and get there.
8. What wisdom have you gained that could only come through living these years?
That happiness is fleeting and not attainable in every moment, but peace is. Find the peace. Less is more. Curate and edit your entire life well and thoughtfully.
9. What do you want your legacy to be?
She was kind to all, and she made a difference.
10. If you had to identify yourself as one of the following, what would it be and why? (Trailblazer, Free Spirit, Wild-at-Heart, Stargazer)
I hope I am all of these things. But I'd say FREE SPIRIT calls to me because when your soul is truly free, anything is possible.
