Celebrating and Looking Forward

This post is a few days late in coming but the extra few days have given me the time to sit back and reflect on all the amazing things from 2016. Over the last 365 days, Jennifer DeMoro Jewelry has grown quite a bit and evolved in to what it is today. The year was all about growth and connection. And connection is the theme of this blog post.

People I meet and continue to meet often say, "You are so lucky to be creative in your business" and I couldn't agree more. The creative aspect of designing and creating jewelry is amazing and a major inspiration for me on a daily basis. I love being connected to the jewelry I design and create.  This fills me up!

But with that being said, the other side of the coin is all about the people and the stories I get to be a part of when working with my clients, and I have been very fortunate in 2016 to have some great clients and stories from the year!  I loved designing and creating these custom orders to celebrate a milestone birthday, the beginning of a marriage, a three year anniversary, a surprise birthday present for a spouse, a highschool connection of four girlfriends and several gifts of self-love and empowerment. Each of these jewelry pieces hold a special memory not only for the recipient but for me as well. And for this I want to thank you and let you know how grateful I am to have the opportunity to connect with you over these jewelry pieces. I feel honored to be included in these special milestones and memories.

Thank you!

Along with all of this, 2016 held lots of other celebrations. I was interviewed on the blog Loving Life After 40 , talking all about my business, motherhood and balancing it all. Our latest Mariposa Collection (which I am in love with) was released. You can check it out here.

Looking Forward to 2017

I am super excited about what this new year will bring and I have lots of changes and developments in place. Some of these include:

*A little refresh on our website ( be on the lookout for this)

*A new collection inspired by the beautiful sunsets here in Southern California, and aptly named the Sunset Collection

*Upping our designs and including lots of juicy gemstones and lots of color

I have a great feeling about 2017 and I can't wait to share it with all of you!

Do you believe in serendipity?

Do you believe in serendipity?

I am always intrigued when things happen to people by chance.

Some call it luck. Others may think it's a fluke or just a coincidence of some sort.

Me? I call it serendipity; which by definition is the the occurrence and development of events by chance in a happy or beneficial way. And I am firm believer in it. I will even go one step further and say that when these types of occurrences happen it is the universe's way of giving us a nudge in a certain direction.

This is exactly what happened when I crossed paths with Veena Goel Crownholm. For those of you who follow the Miss California pageants, you may recall she was Miss California 2004. Kind of a big thing. :) Today she is a mom, a lifestyle blogger, and media host.  She also started  MomTribeLA along with her good friend, Rachel Pitzel. MomTribe is a unique mom community that focuses on the adventures of motherhood, parenting and friendship. All big things in their own right too.

Our meeting was by chance. She happened to be the 1,000th follower on my Istagram account, which just so happened to be huge goal for me. After hitting this number, I wanted to celebrate and thank my 1,000th follower so I reached out. Little did I know what was to follow.

From this chance meeting, we started a collaboration together which included creating a special "Crown Necklace" for Miss California. You can check out all the details for that here. Along with this she has become a walking billboard for my jewelry. Don't you think she looks lovely below? My Gold Fringe Necklace, Diamond Triad Necklace and Gold Stacking Rings add the right touch of elegance to her look. Also pictured is Rebecca Ferriter from CBSLA.

This picture just makes me happy and I can't deny as a jewelry designer I love the exposure.

I think us crossing paths was more than just luck or a fluke. It was serendipitous.

Veena is one of the kindest and sweetest people you will ever meet. I think her beautiful smile tells it all.

Spring Time Cocktails

The warmer weather definitely has my mind on entertaining and evening fun. These cocktails would be the perfect addition to any party. And they come in the colors of Spring. Which is your favorite? I somewhat partial to the Pink Lady!
